Southern Sweet Tea

imagenothing beats this sweet and strong iced tea ย on a hot summer day. Remember the adage: [The Hotter The Weather, The Sweeter The Tea]

MY FAVORITE BREW:

In a half gallon pitcher, place 3 Luzianne (tied together) family-sized tea bags; fill container half way with boiled water that was allowed to sit a minute before pouring; let steep 5 minutes; remove tea bags; add 3/4 cup or more, to taste and stir until dissolved; fill pitcher with ice to the very top and allow to melt; stir and refrigerate.

FOR A STRONGER, BIGGER BREW:

Ingredients for one gallon:
* 6 Luzianne or Publix brand family size tea bags
* 1 gallon boiled water
* 1 1/2 cups granulated white sugar

Directions:
* Hold tea bags lined up evenly by the strings and make a loop knot to hold them together. Tear off tags and staples.
* In a one gallon pitcher, add the boiled water. Stir in the sugar till dissolved.
* Add the tied together tea bags and dunk into water a few times, then leave them in the pitcher. Cover with lid of pitcher and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled (at least two hours)
* After tea is chilled, remove tea bags, without squeezing, and discard
