The ultimate crab appetizer for a crowd!
4 pkg. 8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 TBSP lemon juice
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
garlic powder, to taste (start with just a dash)
1/2 c. finely chopped celery
1 TBSP finely chopped chives
3/4 c. chili sauce
2 TBSP sweet pickle relish
2 (6 oz.) cans crabmeat, flaked
2 TBSP chopped parsley
Triscuits or assorted crackers
In a bowl, beat cream cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder with an electric mixer until smooth. Stir in celery and chives. Shape cream cheese mixture into 9 inch round, leveling off the top, on an at least 1″ larger diameter serving plate.
Combine chili sauce and pickle relish. Spread over leveled off top of cream cheese mixture to the edge. Place the crabmeat evenly over chili sauce mixture. Sprinkle parsley decoratively around the top outer edge of the crab round. Cover and chill several hours.
Serve with plain Triscuits, another sturdy cracker or Ciabitta toasts.
