Rice Krispie French Toast


6 large eggs

1 1/2 cups milk

2 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup sugar

8 thick slices of challah bread

4-5 cups Rice Krispies, slightly crushed


In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla and sugar. Pour into a shallow casserole Place cereal onto a plate.
Preheat frying pan over medium heat. Lightly grease pan with butter.
Soak each slice of challah in the egg mixture, turning once to coat both sides. Transfer slices to cereal plate and press down gently to coat both sides of the bread. Grill french toast in the preheated pan until it is cooked through, about 2-3 minutes on each side or until lightly browned and no liquid should coming out of it when pressed gently with a spatula. Serve warm served with syrup or topped with honey and your favorite fruit.
