Oven Oats

This has become my favorite oatmeal.. And with the right ovenproof bowl, I’ll only have the bowl and spoon to clean..

I used 5 minute oatmeal but would think instant would work well too..

I like creamy velvety oatmeal.. no lumps please..

And I like using my convection toaster oven for no hassle no mess cooking..

So wondering how oven baked oatmeal would turn out, I had to try..

All the amounts of ingredients are the same as the stovetop method.. The only thing I changed was the water.. I used half water and half 2% milk..

Stir in all your ingredients, except toppings, in a pan or ovenproof bowl.. Put in a preheated oven at 300 degrees for 15 minutes. Stir once halfway thru the cooking time..

I used vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and stevia for the flavorings baked in..

Remove from oven, give it a quick stir and add topping of your choice..

It’s simply awesome.. I really need to get an ovenproof bowl..

    1. Speaking of nut milks, have you tried cashew milk yet ? It comes in different sweetness and chocolate too.. Its the only nut milk I like and creamier.. If you haven’t tried it yet, please give it a chance 😊

    1. Thanks Allan 😊 I’m picky about my oatmeal and found a way to have it come out perfect everytime, regardless of which baked in flavors or toppings I choose..
If you have any ideas for baked in flavors and/or toppings, I’m interested..

      1. πŸ˜‚ ok, I guess piling salt and ice on the grate with the rotisserie going thru it might just work.. too bad I don’t have a rotisserie or I might try it.. Wouldn’t that be hysterical if it worked with a container of ingredients and cream churned ice cream on the grill ?

  1. Hahaha.. It was really good.. I’ve had it several times for breakfast and I just came up with it about 2 weeks ago.. Good thing too, oatmeal is pretty good for you 😊
