1/2 cup butter (softened)
1/2 cup vegetable shortening (Crisco)
1 & 1/2 cups sugar
2 & 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 TBSP sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Blend the flour, cream if tartar, baking soda and salt together; set aside.
Beat the butter and shortening together until completely blended,
Add sugar to the butter mixture and beat until light and creamy. Add eggs and blend well.
Add dry ingredients to the creamed butter/sugar mixture; mix just until completely blended.
Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees.
